Mel Gorman is a Linux kernel developer specialising in virtual memory management and has been active in the community since 2005. He is employed by SUSE Labs since 2011 and is currently the engineering lead for the SUSE Performance Team. His primary responsibility is leading a team that identifies and repairing performance regressions in SLE, openSUSE and
mainline kernels. His secondary responsibility is to identify performance bottlenecks and mitigate them. He was educated in University of Limerick and graduated with a PhD in 2011.
